Phil East, CDG and Liam Jordan, ICONI discuss the new contract.
London-based charity Careers Development Group (CDG) will be working with 60,000 people, often facing multiple barriers to work, to help them find and stay in long-term employment. The software, developed by Belfast-based company ICONI Software, will assist CDG in managing each individual’s journey between their first referral and the ultimate end goal of finding and securing long-term employment.
Liam Jordan, Managing Director of ICONI Software, said that the employability tracking software will be critical to supporting the ‘outcomes-based’ programme with the aim of reducing the number of people claiming unemployment benefits and increasing opportunities for sustainable employment. He explains:
“To put the contract in context, the solution that we are delivering will increase the efficiency and the effectiveness of placing 60,000 people back into work which represents more than the total number of people currently claiming unemployment benefit in Northern Ireland. The new system will utilise ICONI Software’s successful Employability Manager Framework which can fully track an individual’s journey to work, manage all related financial transactions and provide CDG and their delivery partners with a holistic view of this journey.
Our work with Careers Development Group to deliver an employability tracking solution will ensure transparency and increase effectiveness in ensuring long-term employment opportunities.”
Phil East of Careers Development Group said:
“We are delivering a major back-to-work project, with many people embarking on a journey to re-enter the workforce. Using ICONI’s sophisticated software, we will track and manage this process to ensure that we can support thousands of people finding and securing sustainable employment.”
ICONI Software is a successful Invest NI export company, with seventy per cent of its turnover generated outside Northern Ireland. Over the last five years the company has seen significant growth in the Management Information System (MIS) markets, leading to the demand for provision of Enterprise Management Solutions. for further information on ICONI’s Employability solutions see: ICONI Employability Manager
