NWES operate across most of East Anglia and manage a large number of business centres. Their aim is to assist in the creation of new jobs and employment opportunities by offering the necessary advice to people who wish to start businesses or develop existing ones.

The Challenge

NWES sought to replace their existing database application with a more up-to-date, sophisticated and user-friendly system. The original system caused difficulty in tracking clients as different versions of the database were installed in each office location. This caused problems with client duplication and collating monthly reports.

The Solution

NWES chose ICONI Software to implement their management information system (called DAISI), based on ICONI’s Enterprise Manager.

Our Approach

An initial on-site visit was carried out by ICONI Software to analyse, in detail, the requirements of NWES and to identify their core business processes. The result of the visit was the production of a 3-phased implementation plan: clients, programmes and reporting. Firstly, client data from the original database was imported into the NWES branded ICONI Enterprise Manager. Secondly, multi-programme support transactions were enabled followed by the development of detailed reporting and analysis tools.
